Balanced diet means a diet that includes a combination of different food types including grains and pulses, fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, dairy products, fats and oils. That means the diet must contain carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamins, mineral salts and fiber. The idea of a balanced diet is including variety of foods in the right proportion; the aim is to get all the nutrients your body needs while maintaining healthy weight. A balance diet should be providing energy to carry out different body functions.
