Q.

Mahatma Gandhi and Sri Vallabhbhai Patel strived and unified India to have a Republic. To be ruled by people for the people,by the people.
In the present scenario, of dividing India in a multitude of small fiefdoms, yes fiefdoms and to be ruled by a few families rich and corrupt, what will the above personages do if they have a chance to visit ..APNA BHARATH MAHHAN?

What Mahatma Gandhi and Vallabh Patel wanted was a unified India and division of states wont affect that concept. When smaller districts are made to maintain them properly, why not smaller states?Kerala,Gujarat,Karnataka, Punjab and Haryana are small states and they are faring far better than Rajasthan, MP, UP, Bihar and West Bengal some of the larger states. Barring Maharastra and Tamilnadu no other big state is doing well. Telangana crisis occur because of the neglet of Telangana region. It is better to create smaller states with about 20 MPs
so that each and every region can improve on par with other improved regions.I do not see any fault in this. Especially UP,MP. Rajasthan and Bihar shoud be divided to create smaller states for their better growth.

The way things are going on, even if they get chance to come back for a visit, I think they will refuse and prefer not to visit again. This was not the India they fought for and dreamt of.

To be honest Varaduraja, if Sardar Patel wanted a unified India then why did he invite Lord Mountbatten to continue working for India in his full capacity? Bapuji rejected the concept of nation states (countries) which was his MAJOR flop, because like it or not, nation states exist. Bapu can b politically classified as a transhumanist anti statist. WHich was a dangerous thing 4 India.

Thing was in his ideology of ahimsa, ppl who were disrobing women in India in 1946 were forgiven and were allowed to continue as "protectors of India" in independent India- this is the police force. The COURTS that were subjugating India for British Empire suddenly became the guarantors of our freedom. The Army that was fighting FOR England by DEFENDING THEM against Japan, and even Germany- who did NOTHING to our people- became the defenders of our land, because Bapu forgave them.

AT the same times, comrade patriots like Subash Chander Bose, Bhagat Singh, were considered and treated by the ahimsa c ...more

They will be very happy to see smaller states as it is covenient for better administration n removing regional disparity. But at the same time they will cry seeing people like Madhu Khoda(Jharkhand) who make money at the cost of the people for whom the bifurcation was made.

Why you are calling from their tomb dear. I think it is better not to call them. They will be ashamed it is the real India for which we fought for freedom. hence, let them have sound sleep in their grave then to come over here and see the conditions. Moreover, even if they come , they will say where we have come? hence let them be there where they are and not to invite them here.
