The only way out is reducing the quantity except the main items like rice and ATTA. No other way is visible as of now. The sad part is that some undesirable elements are taking advantage of the situation and making money as there is no check and balance by our Government. They only talk in terms of export ban and more import. Consumer is always a sufferer.

If we have a piece of land, we can grown our own vegetables and reduce cost on them. Go for simple cotton 'khadi' clothes and avoid expenditure. If we work nearby, we can commute by using a bicycle instead of spending on buses/train. Avoid eating in restaurants. Instead take home food in a tiffin. Avoid costly alcoholic drinks, cigarettes and save precious money for our family.
There are several other ways but there is a limit to what we can save. Rising prices will affect our living at least to some extent.

A learned friend just commented under one of my answers here that the common man is so busy in managing his day to day routine that he has absolutely no time to realize and worry over such and other matters like growing terrorism etc.
