For an Indian women, it means a lot for Hindus. Sindhoor on the forehead is a symbol for being married so that men don\'t cast aspersions on her. Likewise, there are many indicators for showing a woman being married so that she is not disturbed. But today, many women are working and feel there is no need to have such indicators declaring their marital status. This does not mean they love their family less. For a loving relationship, a woman will put up with many such rules and where love is lacking, there is no meaning in all such practices.

Firstly, it\'s priceless but the precious mark needs to be cared by having mutual understanding for an ever-lasting relation else the invaluable marking of vermilion will being losing it\'s real charm. Both have immense responsibilities to run the conjugal relation as healthy as possible so as to make the charm of vermilion more enchanting.
In fine, a pinch of vermilion on the forehead of a female stores lots of facts including the spiritual siginficance too.

Absolutely nothing in absence of mutual love , appreciation , understanding and respect .....and when these are there , that pinch of vermilion is just secondary .......it\'s just needed for social recognition in India only , that also in our Hindu religion only
