While elaborate arrangments were made at actual venue, it is so very unfortunate that stampede occurred at railway station. Proper systems were not put in place to control the masses at station, it appears. As detailed enquiry is underway, it will not be proper to pin point any particular reason without knowing proper details.

We cannot reform masses..........they will continue to believe that SINS can be washed in RIVER WATER.
Government shud take steps to restrict the number of people. Let there be a safe person-per-sq.meter which has to be adhered to all time!

The matter is under investigation. But eyewitness say that the station cannot accomModate such huge crowd and relief measures were delayed due to over crowding

Any thing when left in the hands of government agencies, cannot be monitored properly. Such things like festival crowd monitoring business better be given to the authority who conducts Kumbha Mela in which case success or failure responsibilities on them and that will force them to organise well. Government babus always find excuse for their failures.

Unfortunately, every time some mass gatherings take place, stampedes also occur. It requires to be handled in two ways: sensitization of pilgrims and a responsive management of crowds .
