A great actor! His presence on the screen was striking and he dwarfed all others who were with hi in a movie. Kabuli Wala, Seema, Waqt, Talaash, Hqeeqat (the army Major whose proposal was twice rejected by the heroine ... throws away the ring he so fondly carried and offered her!).
All these and one of his most outstanding ones --Garam Hawa, directed by M. S. Sathyu, based on an unpublished Urdu short story by Ismat Chughtai.
