Why a person's long time friends feel insecure when suddenly a new friend becomes a close friend of that person .. what is the reason?

It's nothing but a natural human weakness that arises out a deep attachment you have with your friend over a long period. If your friend gives any importance to a new incumbent, it makes you feel that you are slipping out her / his purview, which is nothing but an illusion. Still, a kind of insecure feeling grips your mind and makes you think over things, those are virtually non-existent in nature...!

Its the possessiveness that we feel for our frnd.........so that our frnds must not be taken away by any other person.................its a feeling of insecureness............

I think the main reason for this is possessiveness and lack of faith.We must understand that if a person has given his/her consent to be your friend .he/she is not bound to talk only to you.He/she might have given his/her heart to you but not the mind and he should be given liberty to think and act according to his wish.and if we impose restrictions on him /her out of feeling of insecurity that relationship will not last long.

Its not always but often:-) May be because of in the same situation as in between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law..
