A pilot gets lakhs of rupees per month but a bus driver gets only a few thousand rupees. is it fair-
driving is a skill wheremind and body have to work continuously...

Thats true...not only in the case of salary but also in the case of qualifications......pilots should are paid more because:1)dont drive on the roads but in the air...actually they fly...2)since there arent any airplanes/helicopters flying in front of/near/behind the airplane he is driving....he drives with full ease....3)he doesnt apply sudden brakes....4)doesnt blow horn unnecessarily.......4)doesnt smoke while driving(i had a hooooorrible experience -sitting just behind the driver of a private bus--in our god's own country)......5)since no one asks him to stop in between(some show their hand to stop the bus)...he can do his job peacefully....6)he is responsible for the lives of the passengers even if there is any hijact threat.................Bus drivers should be paid more because: 1)he drives on our damaged roads.....2)helps men inside the bus by applying sudden brakes.......3)if we have any problem in our ears it will be cleared...your ears will be "full open"--the o ...more

Each job has its own set of problems, skill set and many other parameters. Why are air hostesses paid much more than waiters ? These issues are industry specific. This makes more sense than comparing a bus driver with a pilot. When you do exactly the same job for a company that is doing well, you get paid more. If the company is small and not doing well, your income may not match the perks of the other person. Do you know how much it costs to get a pilot license, how difficult and expensive it is? Do you know how they are required to be mentally and physically fit whenever called for duty? The salary is not the only criterion. Also do you realize that only a few pass the exams. It is not such an easy job, my friend. Managers and sr executives are paid more because of the responsibilities they carry on their shoulders. In today's world, one has to earn his salary and if you underperform, you are out. That is not the case with a bus or taxi driver. They will have their unions to support ...more
