Food scarcity, Water wars, Energy Crisis

As India moves away from an agrarian economy to an industrialised, services oriented economy. The youth of today see agriculture as back bending and even when pushed by poverty do not want to take it up. More and more population wants to migrate to the cities in search of easy jobs and getting an education means to many not to take up agriculture. This coupled with increasing frequency of droughts and other natural disasters, inefficient farming methods from the 70s and utter lack of food storage and management facilities is creating the biggest crisis in history, of feeding and nourishing 1 billion plus people. Food prices are going to spiral up and affording that is going to become out of reach for many poor Indians. The UN is already warning of an impending "food crisis" worldwide due to increasingly drastic weather affecting food production in many major food producing countries that include India.

Most of threats are from within country in the form of corruption,castism,regionalism,communalism.
