2.
Charity is not almsgiving. It is rather a participation in God's unconditional love.
As a result we witness our former habitual attitudes unwind and begin to love people whom we normally despise or can't stand. Faith in God's presence in others enables us to overlook personality or character defects that cause us difficulty. We can begin to accept them, and perhaps someday we may be able to welcome them. The growth of charity leads to self surrender to God and to the compassionate love of others.
Joy in helping the needed ones.
Peace.
