Hi! I hope you are going to a certified dietician for your food plan. Professional advise is a must. Exercise wise you need to start walking/swimming/cycling or doing aerobics 4-5 days a week for atleast 30 minutes at a brisk, non stop pace. This will help to burnoff your excess fat. Weight loss takes time, so be patient! Set yourself a goal of losing no more than 2 kilo's per month.

I m 47 years old and height is 6-0 feets, and my weight is 102kg. I m serving in the Army and coming on retirement after 30 years long service.I can run 2.4 km non stop in 13 minutes.so weight is not an issue but let you start normal exercises like pranayama, yoga etc and long walking approx 1 hour daily without fail you will feel much better.

Just reduce intake of salt.kalk a lot. walking should be quick walk or brisk walk. avoid taking oily food. but once in a month oily food is ok.
and after taking medecins regularly forget that you are a bp or asthama patient.

4 all disease one solution is walk walk walk and............walk.
becouse as a asthama patient you should not have to do any havey exercise.

(1) Control your emotions. Do not get excited. Relax and try to develop a positive attitude. Do not worry too much about High BP that you would die sooner. Accept the reality that your future life would be somewhat different from yesterdays carefree life. Mind control is the key to control your hypertension.
(2) Second most important thing to do is to reduce the overweight. You have to do two things simultaneously. Dietary change along with physical exercise and/or Yoga. At this stage of your life, you need only 2000 calories per day. That is more than sufficient to stay healthy. If you are rice eater, reduce it and limit it to 10 table spoon per day and not more than that. Or you can completely stop it and replace it with fiber rich, sugar free and cholesterol free food. Stop taking fried foods, KFC / McDonald etc / French fries, canned foods, tinned beverages of all types, fatty foods including milk with fat etc. However, you can take low fat milk, low fat Yogurt, brown bread, rusk ...more
