What are the advantages and disadvantages in permitting FDI to enable global retailers like Wal-Mart, Carrefour and Tesco can open outlets in India.?

Permitting FDI in retail is suicidal from the point of Indian economic growth.The most effected are the farmers and the small traders and the Indian economy.What ever the brighter sides that are said about it are falsification.

The main advantage seems to be that the money staked in the foreign banks can be brought back to India as FDI and take advantage of the theory of demand and supply and squeeze the producers and farmers during seasons and make huge profits
