A village tailor, was working away in his shack one dog-day afternoon, struggling with his endless measuring and cutting and stitching, while waving the flies away from his face every few seconds.
Suddenly, he noticed a swarm of flies squatting on the honey bowl he had put aside earlier, after finishing his luncheon dessert.
Seeing an opportunity to get back at the pesky creatures, he slowly leaned back to grab his jutti (shoe), coiled forwards - still without a sound - and then, pounced at the menacing little buzzers with lightning speed.
It was a wholesale massacre!
He turned the jutti over and saw them all splattered on its sole, little streaks of blood streaming in every direction.
It was a total victory, mind over matter, man over beast! ...more

Long back I'd read the comic story of tees maar khan at a library. it goes like this -
A lazy day dreamer young man used to sit at home just killing time. His mother used to sclod & advise him daily to do some work & earn for living. He didn't heed to her words. One day while killing time, as usual, he was killing the flies that disturbed his day dream. suddenly he noticed that he had killed a great number of flies. He counted them up to be 30 in number. In joy he shouted aloud and told his mother that he had killed 30 in an hour so why couldn't he do greater things at the King's palace. A passer by heard his words &, thinking that he was taking about killing 30 enemies at some war, he propagated the young man's valour throughout & around the village. People started calling him THEES-MAAR-KHAN thereafter. the comic story goes further ....
