It depends on how you intend to take you career forward. Usually, these days most of the Companies have there own secreterial cell which is headed by a Company Secretary who would be responsible for all the legal compliances, representation before SEBI ( Securities exchange Board of India) and ofcourse his own core competency - Compliance with Companies Act, 1956.
