Malgdi is a creation of eminent writer R.K Narayan it has become a reality with English novel readers.Now a street is named as Malgudi in Mysore after his demise ie where he lived.

It is ficticious place; But the serial was shot in a place called "Agumbe" in western Ghats of Karnataka
