People who settle down early in life often feel later as though they missed out on their youth or didn't have a real choice in the matter. And because they're so young, they don't yet know how to be on their own and deal with the world. They're just figuring out their lives, their careers, their relationships with their families and with each other, and they often have children shortly after marriage. Those are all stressful things, and that stress increases exponentially when it's all coming at once. It's better to take those things one at a time.
