In the background of the call given by UFBU for 2 days strike against the IBAs going back on their offer of 17.5% wage increase and delay in the settlement of the demands for wage revision, pension option and compassionate ground appointment scheme, and as per the advice given by the Chief Labour Commissioner, Ministry of Labour, there was a round of bilateral talks between Indian Banks Association (IBA) and United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) today in Delhi with a view to find some possible solutions to the demands and to avert the strike.
