Are we getting proper education

Does not look like we get the proper education... Looks like only the subjects and the exams are increasing. Instead of all this the main aim of education should be to increasing the learning that will help them to take right decision at the right time. For this there has to be effective teaching and learning so both teachers and students gain from it.

Surely not. The problem is with the leadership, who I am afraid do not know the basic purpose of education. Apart from the leaders, the general public also are of the wrong notion; I do not blame anybody simply for the reason that the good system that India had in GURUKUL, have been wiped out many years back due to various reasons. The present system has been derived from that started by the British; the main object of British was to produce clerks conversant with English language. Essentially we still are following the same system - may be in a modified way.
If you look at the GURUKUL system, you will observe that the basic intent was to produce a good, upright and honest person; depending on one's aptitude, talent etc., some could become a philosopher, scientist, author, archer and so on. But when a student comes out of the GURUKUL after becoming a SNATAK (graduate), he invariably would move in the society as an upright person with head high, in a dignified way and with hones ...more
