Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh is officially holding the change consequent to the change of Portfolio of Mr P Chidambaram from Finance to Home. If we closely observe, Mr Chidambaram is still exercising the powers of the Finance Minister. This may be due to the indisposition of PM following his recent surgery. Mr Chidambaram may also, I presume, present the Interim General Budget on 16 Feb 09.
