Science and humanities are two different subjects... all political parties have that intheir manifesto... I still remember Vajapyee when he was PM he had announced and Added Jai Vigyan,.,,,, to Jai Jawan JAi Kissan..! Science has given us way in devloping arms and missiles... India did test fire ... Agni IIII (may be .... it may tend to harm human race... but required to protect also) and human.... this has to developed by each one of us... this cannot be driven by a programme....!

Sir you are absolutely right. Forget R&D, you think they are really interested in the upliftment of even the basic quality of education. Any one of them ?
they are busy ruinig the standard of the education in our country.
Another case that would like to put forth using your platform is that the level of our professors is touching the an abyss.Professors by definition are supposed to be doing research and involving students in their development. our professors dont even have proper degrees to justify their positions.
another point that i want to raise is the attitude of our students. The politicians, through student political parties are ruining their mindsets as its nothing but vandalism that rules in most of the colleges these days.
My points might sound a little wayward but i am trying to put a few reasons that form the foundation of inactivity in the govt where R&D in any stream is concerned.
a live example is the burning issue of reservation in every stream ...more

Well, As per WTO we have to shift the emphasis. It has broken whatever meager infrastructural backbone we had for Science and research. Todays' basic science is technology 50 years later. However, our dependence on West has increased forever. Our labs are underpaid R&D for their companies and no independent and basic science.
Similarly for humanities, as WT regime does not want social leaders, merely fraud managers so they hence MBA but not intellectuals for conceiving tomorrow and leading today. It will be done by them.
Unfortunate but true, needs to be fought....
