President of India is the head of state & known as the first citizen of the country. The control of all three wings of defense lies with the President along with presiding over the Republic day parade & addressing the joint house session in parliament!!

The past two Presidents could'nt decide on the hanging of Afzal Guru. Its none of my business. But the President in office has condoned the handing of a few convicts one of whom had raped and killed a minor. Its outrageous.
