Actually Comrade Irani th colonial attitude is imparted starting right from Indian homes. What VALUE SYSTEM DO WE USE? British era Victorian moral system.....only rites and rituals are "Desi" value system is Victorian from a 1000 miles away.

We also follow many things in our colonial legacy like CHARACTER ASSASSINATION. Where do u think the "Oh he drinks, he is so immoral!" sort of accusations arise? In Colonial legacy. U had Zamindars virtually starve the people to death, and when homes are miserable, u have lots of fights and discord. The zamindar culture simply lableled it on alcohol consumption of the poor....and we continue that even today.

The colonial Raj also taught India how to be good parents, good sons, good daughters, good Brahmins, good Christians, good God Fearing Muslims but it made us forget what it means like to be an INDIAN. And we have YET to discover our c ...more
