True 100%.
These "Social Police" cause more damage than whatever they are policing could ever hope to solve. In 60s and 70s India, the Socialist Youth opposed these contingents fiercely, in collgs especially, but the system then was more or les spro youth, but nowadays, ppls like them have legislative powers.
Social policing is NOTHING but an excuse for incompetence.
- Chalk up a five year plan which works.
- Raise the HDI of your social community.
- Develop opportunities in economics for the masses.
THOSE are REAL social issues. These "social policing" issues are just vain attempts and vile ones, to cover up for incompetency to solve REAL issues.
Recently in Karnatak and Tamil Nadu there was The Hindu Report on adultrated "illict" alcohol deaths. Why is did it cause deaths? No state level body to certify quality. WHo lost out? Ppls. Sad really. In Keral, it is legal, so vetted civilian inspectors can monitor the quality at a ...more

Yes I agree with you here.
This is in fact Self proclaimed Social Policing and yes they are more worried about this than their own purpose in life.
What you have just told is in fact result of a long thought and dialogue with yourself. Most of the people will not be able to grasp it and here you have very little space to explain it fully.
