Because he has nothing else to say, he doesn't want to say anything regarding terror in pakistan nor he want to anything about India's candidacy of UNSC permanent membership so only thing left is gandhi ji so he is cashing the opportunity.

Very natural reaction. While he is visiting India, he ought to talk about father of nation, he can not talk about Mohammed Ali Jinnah. I agree with what our friend Hemant Ji says.
