SR = sustained release and D = direct
vovran sr disolve in blood slowly and D disolve directly.

Nitin is correct. SR means Sustained Release. In this type of medicine, the active ingrdients are in layman's term "packed" in smaller packets, that keeps on opening after constant interval.

SR = Sustained Release. Though two tab have same content but SR would be effective for the Dose period say 6 or 8 hrs and more effective.
