1.

Almost all were new comers. They were exposed to an experienced team with batsmen like Tendulkar and captain like Dhoni. They gained much and would be very soon challenging other powerful teams including India. To grade a team as 'B' or 'C' etc is actually to degrade it.

No. After all these were the very same players who defeated India 4-0 and the only absentees were Ponting and Hussey. Their young batsmen were not accustomed to play spin.
