If you worked in a professionally managed company and also in a company run by the owners, please say what difference you experienced in these two management styles / work cultures etc?

I have worked in Family managed companies and in the professionally managed corporate , in the case of the former . No body's Business is Everybody's business ,in the case of later , Every body's business is no body's business .Will to manage well lacking in the Professional Managements ,with no risk taking .

It depends on who is running the show, but in India, mostly the family and individual run companies are like FISH & VEGITABLE MARKETs; even after having the corporate structures and run by professionals.
Already we have many examples like Satyam, GVK Reddy group, LANCO, GMR Vasvi Group.
