Was AMERICAS discovered 5 centuries before Columbus ?
The last Muslim stronghold in Spain, Granada, fell to the Christians in 1492 CE, just before the Spanish inquisition was launched. It is also deducted that in ancient times people from Asia migrated to Alaska via the Palk Strait, which was a land mass above sea level and joined Eastern most tip of today's Russia with Alaska. They spread further south and could be said to be the first inhabitants of Americas. These people were advanced in astronomy, Mathematics culture, and the pyramids-with-steps constructed by them are still present. It is mentioned in the Mayan scriptures that the end of the world would come by 2012,(which people have started talking about these days).
Later, when in 1492, Columbus discovered these two huge land masses, the people of Americas were totally cut off from the rest of the world ... as the rest of the world were un aware of the presence of this 'new world' until Columbus discovered them in 1492.
