If you do not want to use iTunes to add music to your iPod from your computer, you need to first enable your iPod as a portable hard drive and then sync your music and movies with Floola, a freeware cross-platform application. Once the music and movies have been synced, the podcasts have to be synced to your iPod using MyPodder. Then you have to plug your iPod into your computer, follow the instructions that appear on the iPod and convert it into the MP3 format, if necessary.
