Yes Joyesh , "The sun has set on Indian classical music", "an irreparable loss" were how noted singers and artists reacted to Bharat Ratna Pandit Bhimsen Joshi's deathToday but said his music would live on to be celebrated by generations.

One of his disciples, Basant Garud, called him the biggest figure in Indian music after Tansen, the legendary musician in Mughal Emperor Akbar's court in the 16th century.

Bhimsen Joshi , one of the pioneer in Hindusani classical music (1922-2011) a member of Kirana Gharana who is also known for his bhajans and abhangs. He is very famous for his Khayals. His Passing away is a great loss to classical music and his void will be very difficult to fil. Once in a blue moon such a person will be born and we are fortunate to have him in our midst. Gods might have pleased seeing him in heaven. What a wonderful opportunity they might have to listen to his bhajan and abhangs and his khayals. He will create a scene before them in such a way with his beautiful rendering, no one have the courage to leave their seats. What a scene it will be !. Oh, God why you have taken such a personality from here. The last but not the least let us pray to God to rest his soul in peace.
