Upamanyu was a disciple in the hermitage of PARASAR MUNI ... he is a role model for his loyalty obedience and submission b4 his Teacher.....
Parasar Muni had a patch of farmland at a prominent distance from his hermitage ... During the rainy season Muni sent Upamanyu to expedite the water-loggage in the farm land where paddy had been sown...
Upamanyu marked that there had been a wide passage on the water blockage of the farm land....
He tried to block it .... but the current of water was so violent that he could not able to block it....
Being disappointed he slept on the open passage in the midst of the blockage to stop the water from flowing down....all the night....
As he did not return to the cottage GURU PARASAR along with other disciples went in search of UPAMANYU during that night....and found him collapsed in cold....
and the example of his loyalty became history
