Our judiciary is a total failure in dispensing justice in this country. Don't go by the high profille cases, where higher court intervention has bought to book some important people. For the common man, it is nightmare with the speed of justice and the red tape that exists in the corridors of our courts.

I am actualy wondering, why this Supreme Court or High Courts which otherwise has embarked on very visible initiatives like "Clean up Delhi or make it Green" drives of introducing CNG buses etc, calling the shots in utilisation of water resources like big dam projects, Taj Corridor etc, cannot sit down to give directives to their own lower courts by laying down new rules in respect of adjournments, bail, hearing and reaching judgements etc.

Pitiful and shameless state of affairs, as it exists in our country. A few egs.
- a man accused of stealing during Mumbai riots hasn't got a hearing leave alone a judgement in a "FAST TRACK COURT" in the last 15 yrs.
- Ketan Parekh given o ...more
