Area 51 is where the military tests new technology, experimental aircraft, and makes spy satellites for shipment to Vandemberg AFB, where they're launched into orbit. It's also where the United States breaks its nuclear test ban treaties. That's why it's so hush hush. You have to be an Israeli to get "green badge" clearance for Area 51.
