Q.
It is well known that Dhanraj pillai is reasonably a good batsman and can hold on his own at a city league level and his fielding is test standard. Can you name at least one cricket player of India who could wield a hockey stick with some semblance of dexterity?

I cannot speak of any cricketer who is/was a reasonably good Hockey player. But I know of at least two player who were very good in two games.
You may have heard the famous English Batsman Denis Compton. His full name was Denis Charles Scott Compton. He played in 78 Test matches and he was vary good footballer. He spent the whole of his cricket career with Middlesex and the whole of his football career at Arsenal F.C.
Back home, you must have heard of Chuni Goswami. His full name is Subimal Goswami. He is the one of the famous three musketeers of Indian football in fifties and the sixties of the last century. The other two where P.K Banerjee and T.Balaram. Together they were called - Chuni - P.K - Balaram. He led the the Indian team to gold at the 1962 Asian Games in Jakarta. Apart from being a top footballer, he was played in 46 Ranji Trophy matches for Bengal and twice led the team to the title round.
