Sir, i am a class 10 student and wish to become a commercial pilot.my father is willing to send me to australia for pilot training.when i get my australian cpl,can i fly in India???

Dear friend,

Australia is tough for getting a CPL, also what will you do with it here in INdia.
The Theory can be done one after the other but the flying experience is essential .


1. The rating is for a specific aircraft only say PIPER CHEROKEE / Lear Jet II etc. and the licence is for flying. So once you get the licence, Instrument Flying rating, and so on, you will be able to chose a job in that particular aircraft - the conversion to another aircraft say 747 would require your instruction and rating in that aircraft also. If it is at your cost it is very heavy. The Airline giving the job may or may not pay for this. So be careful when you go for the interview. You will also generally need IFR rating in that aircraft too. That means night flying / or by instruments only.

2. Australia is tough to get the CPL much tougher than US. Many US licence holders do not get through first time in AUSTRALIA.

3. The costs are much cheaper in the US or SPAIN and they have good rang ...more

Better to check with DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) but it should be easy to pass any country specific exams. But why not train in India?
