Age is against you for competing with fresh MBAs. Try to shift within your field. You could have done BE or B.Tech by part-time or CCCP (JNTU has such programs) or completed AMIE.

Hello friend, regarding options on the field of MBA, there are many as this industry is initiated with bright future prospects.
After closely surveying your query, I could come to the conclusion that what wrong went into your career was distance learning programme you did. Though many people opt for distance learning but in the long run they end up with the same problem you had (an unsatisfactory working profile). As far my opinion, I would suggest you to do a part time or executive MBA, which will so well go with your experience. Generally, Exec MBA is supposed to be for people who work simultaneously with pursuing the program. This will be another help for you as well as you can acquire an enhanced degree compared to distance learning. For this you can go for institutes like Hughes, NIIT, Educomp, they are associated with all the leading colleges of India eg: IIMs, IITs, IIFT, XLRI, MICA, etc. They along with offering classes provide onsite learning through video conferencing, this ...more

You must try and secure a proper job to your liking
distance learning MBA will be beneficial if it comes handy at your present/prospective job in terms of career advancement or rise in emoluments
or you can try for better/higher job after MBA
see how you are placed vis a vis other engineering students from your institute
try to secure a job in a high growth industry where hard work and good skills are appreciated

MBA is an excellent career option and is very challenging ..The job may be
hectic but is also very interesting and generally does not involve night
shifts ..In most case ,you begin as a management trainee and then grow to
senior positions over a period of 5 years ..

The best option is to do an MBA as a full
time programme...This will be the best way to move on to higher posts in any
company .U can look at the
IIM's,SYMBIOSIS-PUNE,XLRI -JAMSHEDPUR,NMIMS -MUMBAI ,MDI ,ISB and such to
name a few..U MAY ALSO CONSIDER THE MMS FROM MUMBAI UNIVERSITY.. ...more

The DEE & BA are two different stream. First you will have to decide in which area (technical or commercial) you would like to see your future.
