Q.

Today I was shocked by three of my neighbor kids (one in 7th standard , other two in 8th standard; they all go to an International School in Bangalore). All of them are certain that M.K. Gandhi = Mahatma Karamchand Gandhi and NOT Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.

It is pity that children do not know the correct name of Father of the nation. This is not their fault but fault of parents and teachers who do not teach the children about national leaders.

The name is not important. What he taught was more important. But hardly any one (even scholars ) remember what his ideals were.

Gandhi used economic means to win independance for India.
