From the ancient period the Brahmin's were never rich, they were always in the shadows of King. Please remember that Akbar/Birbal, Krishna Devaraya/Tenali Ramakrishna,Krishna/Sudhama...they never given priority to become rich in form of money and wealth they have given a maximum service to bring the poor to main stream instead.See any ancient stories which starts from "Once there was a poor Brahmin...?". The aim of reservation was neither for rich or poor, this was introduced by Indira Gandhi to bring the poor caste into the main stream for outlook and a political inside-plot was that to gain the vote bank of ST SC, as their party was declining in the country. At that time this system was made limited to 10 years. But now they are not ready to stop the system for their greedy politics.

I m also Brahman, According to me Reseavation society me lower caste ke person ke status ko uthane ke liye kiya jana chahiye. abhi bhi kafi jagaho par caste ka problem sabse bada prob hai. caste ki wajah se milna julna nahi hota hai. thinking nahi achchi hai abhi bhi hamari. FREEDOM nahi dena chahte hai. isiliye waha par researvation karwaya jata hai. jisse lower caste ka leval badhe aur India ka vikaas ho. India ka progress ho.
