Ian Folley: He was a right-handed batsman and a left-arm bowler, initially a medium-pacer and later a spinner. Folley started his county career with Lancashire and then played for Derbyshire. Folley was accidentally hit underneath the eye while batting, and was immediately taken to a local hospital, where while under anaesthesia, he suffered a heart attack and died. Folley was 30 years old when he passed away on 30 August 1993.
Graham Kersey: He was educated at Beths Grammar School. A wicket-keeper, he first entered the county scene for Kent in 1991 but after only playing sporadically he moved to Surrey two years later. With Alec Stewart on international duty he found himself as the first choice keeper until 1996. On 1 January 1997, Kersey died from injuries received in a car crash a week prior in Queensland. He was just 25.
Trevor Madondo was a Zimbabwean cricketer who played in three Tests and 13 ODIs from 1998 to 2001. He died at the age of 24 from malaria. In November 2008, his b ...more
