Q.

Though the CBI court has held the Talwar couple guilty of the double murder, the way the entire probe was conducted leaves much to be desired. The Aarushi Talwar murder case which dragged for more than 5 years has now been concluded by the CBI court holding the Talwar couple guilty of murdering their own daughter and domestic help Hemraj. How can a parent first of all think of doing this that also their only daughter,,,so I feel life imprisonment is not sufficient...they both parents should be hanged till death...Your views

FIR did not include the blood marks at home and also did not record statements of maid servant who discovered the murder. she said the door was locked from outside rising suspicion that there was an intruder. Police did a pathetic job and the initial reaction was to cover up the case. as an after thought and media pressure the case took a different turn or else CBI had given up hope on this. if the talwars are truly guilty , the death sentence shall be the fair compensation for the crime. rather than emotions , the prosecutions depends on evidence and lack of evidence shall prove a saving grace to the tainted couple

The court had said why that was not done:
(1) This was not a rarest of rarest cases (honour killing is not uncommon in haryana and punjab)
(2) The accused are not a threat to society (they dont kill others, only their own children)
