In Kerala people are not that crazy for crackers although sometimes strong sound blows in air .

It isn't as bad as last year and what I noticed is that the intensity has reduced tremendously. Don't know whether it is because of the hard times or recession or people have realised that sending up thousands in smoke doesn't really serve any purpose or is it a greater awareness of the environmental problems -:)) Any way, it has been reducing progressively over the past five years and that is a good sign.
