Q.

This is good and that is bad. But it is not universally acceptable, because something good is bad for some and so vice versa. Then, why is this theory still strong?

The two top religions of the world, the Christianity and Islam are both morality oriented. Commandments, Dos and DONTs etc, they BELIEVE came of God. These religions cover about 70% of worlds population. The jurisprudence of both modern democracies as well as the Sharia is unfortunately based on this. A modern global jurisprudence free from the clutches of religion is yet to take shape in this world. The priesthood have always strived to engrave DOs and DONTs into human minds... with certain vested interests, because by that, they can create GUILT in people. Guilty weakens people, and such people are easier to control, exploit, and kept in the Herd.
