All politicians are birds of the same feathers. Power is such a 'nasha' that once a person gets it, that persons wants more and more power. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Hence, I will not be surprised if a person feels let down after losing power.

Who is "they" who say that? It was once a highly disciplined party but that was when it was small and had not tasted power. Moreover, they have not been able to fill Vajpayee's gap as undisputed leader.
