Allah has instructed human beings two types of duties
first duty towards Allah like prayers fasting pilgrimage ,charity etc
and then duty towards human beings
like doing justice to each soul
helping ,encouraging goodness and prohibiting evils
Allah is most displeased when we oppress one another
even smiling and saying peace is a kind of charity towards the brothers and sisters

Whoever said this......is making a very misleading statement.... false propaganda!
Your prime responsibility is to look after yourself........LIVE UR LIFE. How can u help others if u r not in a position yourself?
Why shud A help B and B help A, if A and B can look after themselves?
This glorification of sacrifice is means to exploiting people!
