Sikh dharam ki sthapana.....bahar desh se aaye musalmaano se ladhne k liye banayee gaya tha..............aadmi log singh isliye lagate hai kyonki wo sher yani yodha ko darshata hai.........aur ladies bhi kaur shabd ka isliye hi prayog karti hain.................jo pehle 5 singh sajaye gaye the .........wo bahut bahadur aur veer the............wahin se ye pratha shuru huee hai

In punjabi\'s, the names are very commom between boy & girl.
Hence at the end of name, if it is singh, then name suggest it\'s a male.
If it is Kaur, then a female.

Singh means lion and Guru Gobind Singh was a ferocious fighter against Moghuls sacrificing his two sons. So he decided that each sikh will distinguish himself as brave by calling himself whatever \'Singh\'. Even Britishers were scared of Ranjit Singh. Sikhs are a military community and brave fighters with communal oneness globally.
