In punjabi\'s, the names are very commom between boy & girl. Hence at the end of name, if it is singh, then name suggest it\'s a male. If it is Kaur, then a female.

Singh means lion and Guru Gobind Singh was a ferocious fighter against Moghuls sacrificing his two sons. So he decided that each sikh will distinguish himself as brave by calling himself whatever \'Singh\'. Even Britishers were scared of Ranjit Singh. Sikhs are a military community and brave fighters with communal oneness globally.
