Q.

There are reports of many celebrities joining AAP. But can they really alter the political equations in India by virtue of their celebrity status alone ?

Nopes. They would just turn Parliament and Assembly in to Big Boss.

Ppl. like Azar, Jayaprada, Jayabachan, Sachin Tendulkar, Keerti Azad, Shatrughna Sinha, etc. hv been there for decades and what difference they hv made in politics? Politics is only a sort of shield for them.

If u r talking about electoral equations, ppl. like MGR, NTR and AB hv made difference in past and in current scenario, Rajanikant can make some impact in south especially TN.

Credentials of the Celebrities joining AAP are Above Board and their very presence in the party will be like blessings in disguise, which rather speaks volumes & volumes of AAP's ideological credentials: tested by the Delhi Electorates.

In a country like our where hero worshiping is wide spread, these people will bring votes for the AAP.Besides, most of these people r non corrupt n self less.Thier involvement in AAP will strengthen the party's foundation.
