Opt for IFS in the Civil Services Exams, clear the mains, come in merit, qualify the interview and join the IFS.

You have to be a gradute to give the exmas for all administrative services including IFS.The exam is called Enterence test for IAS conducted by UPSC,

IPS or IAS::The Indian Foreign Service, also known as IFS is the foreign service of India, made up of a body of career diplomats. The Indian Foreign Service is considered as one of the Indian central services, but the officials enjoy equivalent status to the All India Services in terms of training.

You have to qualify IAS & Allied services examination.Preliminary followed by written...compulsory subjects,optional subjects and if qualify in merit then personal interview.
