It is an established, but not much publicised knowledge among historians that Muslims had very early contacts with the people of the lands now called Americas. There are plenty of records and evidences for the arrival of Muslims in America, not less than 600 years before Columbus.
Despite the plainly obvious argument that an empire/empires which ruled (directly or indirectly) more than half of the then known world for more than 800 years would have been the most probable to reach a land only 1500 nautical miles from its shores. However, for Muslims in the golden era, America is not a 'New World'.
Because, 603 years before Spanish explorers discovered the continent, the Muslim explorers of West Africa has built a civilization in America.
Claims of Western history which claimed Columbus as the discoverer of the Americas finally broken. A series of historians found that the explorers had set foot Muslims and spreading Islam on the continent more than half a millennium before Columbus.
Historically Muslims have contributed to the science, art, and humanity in the Americas.
It is sad that someone by the name of onlytruth did not give the option of the truth.
