The petition was quite weak when Our Institutions like CAG, ARMY etc are blown out.. how one can challenge Pranab Mukherjee who is fed by Reliance.

This is on expected lines only as no one expected SC to uphold the petition of Sangma.

Even Sangma would not have believed the petition would be admitted. The petition was more of a self promotion and publicity stunt. It was obvious from the presidential election result Sangma did not have the required support to win. Had the margin of victory been narrow it would have made some sense for Sangma to take up the issue. Sangma should consider himself lucky if SC does not penalize him by calling his petition as frivolous.
