Herge (pseudonym of Georges Remi), a Belgiun cartoonist, created the character of Tintin, a young reporter and traveller, first in 1929. Tintin is accompanied by his faithful Wire Fox Terrier dog, Snowy, in all his adventures. The series is one of the most popular European comics and has been published in over 50 languages all over the world.
